Blog #87 – What stars are lined up for the Haiti Telethon on Friday?  What is the telethon for?  What time is it on on Friday and on what stations?  http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/capress/100119/entertainment/us_haiti_telethon

Bruce Springsteen, Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Keith Urban and Alicia Keys are a few performers who will be featured. Hope For Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief” will be an international event. Haitian native Wyclef Jean will anchor the show from New York, while George Clooney will do so from Los Angeles. CNN’s Anderson Cooper will report from Haiti. It is on major networks at 8 p.m. EST (0100 GMT), as well as MTV, VH1, CMT, BET, PBS, CNN, Bravo, and a host of other networks. In addition, the telethon will be streamed live on Web sites including YouTube, MySpace and AOL.

I think the robot is an amazing idea, especially for the elderly. I think it’s a good idea. One of the weirdier ideas for a robot but I think it’s a neaet idea that they can answer phones as a way of saving energy.

It has made more then 1 billion dollars, and is becoming the most popular and best selling video game. It has a new feature the online multi-player mode. New updates to the online version can give titles a longer shelf life.

The local stations are blaming Leno for their news ratings going down because he provided a lousy “lead-in.”  NBC still hasn’t commented on O’Brien’s refusal to play ball, and a negotiated exit seems likely. Meanwhile, a study emerged Wednesday illustrating just how damaging Leno’s prime-time show was to NBC’s local stations.

The Winnipeg-based magazine was launched in 1920 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Hudson’s Bay Company and the fur trade that led to the early exploration of Canada. But in modern times, the term “beaver” has become slang for women’s genitals. “The Beaver was an impediment online,” publisher Deborah Morrison told AFP. “Nearly a century ago, it probably seemed the perfect name for a magazine about the fur trade and Canada’s northwest frontier. There was only one interpretation for the word then.

That Simon Cowell is leaving American Idol and managing and starting his own show called ” The X Factor”. Some people think it will effect the show, seeing as Simon Cowell starting American Idol, and keeps the show interesting with his blunt, true statements. Ellen DeGeneres has come on the show. I have watched American Idol, I watched the first 2 seasons through i thought it was a fun show to watch and entertaining.

EA created two Facebook applications called “Go To Hell” and “Battle of the Damned.” “Go To Hell” gives Facebook users the opportunity to banish someone, or something, to a level of hell. Once the person has been banished, other users can vote to further punish or absolve them

The highest paid teenager in hollywood is Taylor Lautner, he is paid $7.5 million for his next movie “Northern Lights”. I think the Twilight Saga has over taken the movie indrustry. It’s crazy how much Twilight and New Moon has made, but they have done good for themselves.
